The Hall County Tax Commissioner’s Office, in cooperation with the Hall County Board of Commissioners and Hall County Parks & Leisure, will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new tax kiosk at North Hall Community Center at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
“This kiosk will be significantly advantageous to the County and its citizens,” Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden said. “We are proud of this opportunity to expand our customer service initiatives.”
The kiosk allows citizens to complete their motor vehicle transactions quickly and securely without traveling to the Hall County Government Center on Browns Bridge Road.
“Citizens will also be able to make motor vehicle registration transactions outside of the normal business hours of the Hall County Tax Commissioner’s Office since the North Hall Community Center is open on nights and weekends,” said Eden.
The machine will process up to 10 renewals for $3.
Eden said all residents need to do is scan their driver’s license or renewal notice, and the transaction will update in real time with the Georgia Department of Revenue.
Hall County will be the sixth county in the state to install a motor vehicle kiosk.
More information about the kiosk can be found at http://dor.georgia.gov/mvd-self-service-centers.
North Hall Community Center is located at 4175 Nopone Road in Gainesville. The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
