Hall County’s elections director has accepted a similar position with Athens-Clarke County Government but will remain in her role with the County through the November elections.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve the residents of Hall County for more than 25 years,” said Charlotte Sosebee, Director of Elections for Hall County Government. “I’m proud of the advances the Elections Department has made during my tenure, and I want to assure voters that there will be no lapse in leadership or service during the upcoming election season.”
Sosebee’s last day of employment with Hall County will be Nov. 16.
“We would like to commend Charlotte for her leadership in the Elections Department, and we wish her the best in her future endeavors,” said Hall County Administrator Randy Knighton.
Sosebee began her career with Hall County Elections as a deputy clerk in 1989. In December 2006, she was sworn in as interim Elections Director and was then named Elections Director in November 2011. Since then, she has served on the State of Georgia's Elections Advisory Council, the advisory committee for implementing the new Georgia Voter Registration System and as an officer of the Voter Registrar's Association of Georgia.
