Hall County Emergency Management will hold a public meeting on the Hall County Hazard Mitigation Plan update at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 1.
“A number of area representatives have been actively involved in updating the plan so that we all have fundamental principles to follow in regards to emergency management, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery,” said Hall County Emergency Management Director David Kimbrell.
The June 1st meeting, which is required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will take place at the Emergency Services Complex, located at 470 Crescent Drive in Gainesville. Representatives from various city and county agencies and members of the public are invited to attend.
Following its review, the plan update will be ready for adoption by each municipality and the Hall County Board of Commissioners.
