In 2012 Ms. McCain joined Hall County with a long history of government work.
McCain began her government career in Law Enforcement where she served as a Police Officer with the McHenry County Conservation District (MCCD) and was sponsored by MCCD to work with the North Central Narcotics Task Force unit as an Inspector for the Illinois State Police. McCain earned her certification as a sworn officer from the Illinois State Police Academy class 400-45. McCain was one of two field training officers for the department as well as the only certified juvenile officer. After eight years of service and starting a family, Ms. McCain moved to a safer Monday-Friday job for the Village of Huntley as a records clerk and a permitting clerk.
Moving to Georgia in 2004 due to job relocation for her husband, McCain was hired as the accounts receivable clerk for the City of Flowery Branch and was appointed City Clerk January 1, 2005. During her time at Flowery Branch, McCain earned her Clerks Certification, Clerks Masters Certification as well as only a handful of Clerks in the State of Georgia earning an International Certification designation. McCain has served as the Georgia Municipal Clerks/Finance Officers Association District II Director assisting 35 cities with training and day to day operation questions. Ms Cain further volunteered her time as the Chairman for the Bill Cain Scholarship Committee which awards free training for cities facing financial hardships.
Ms. McCain is a Flowery Branch resident with her husband, two children and dog Stewie.
