Government offices closed Tuesday, Jan. 11 1/10/2011 The closing of Hall County Government offices, courts and community centers is extended through Tuesday, Jan. 11, due to hazardous weather conditions, according to Interim County Administrator Jock Connell. The Board of Commissioners work session scheduled for Tuesday and the business meeting schedule for Thursday have been cancelled. All agenda items have been moved to the next work session at 6 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Courthouse Annex and the next meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Georgia Mountains Center. Bid openings scheduled for Tuesday also will be postponed until Jan. 19, Purchasing Manager Tim Sims said. Public safety and necessary public works personnel will continue service as usual. Many county services are always available online; residents can renew a vehicle tag or business license, find a new pet, pay taxes and more at hallcounty.org.
