The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim involved in the fatality vehicle crash that involved a missing person case.
On October 18, 2011, at approximately 11:15 AM, Deputies responded to the 2100 block of Candler Road (GA SR60) to a report of a crashed vehicle off of the roadway. Upon arrival Deputies learned that a public utilities crew had discovered an SUV that appeared to have left the roadway, overturned, and crashed in the woods. A single occupant was discovered inside the vehicle that appeared to have been deceased for a few days.
The deceased is identified as 22 year-old Cody Lamar Griffin, who was reported missing on October 16 from the 2300 block of Pinehurst Way. Mr. Griffin was last heard from on October 15 at approximately 2:00 AM.
The missing person incident remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division, and the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the vehicle crash.
