Hall County operates and maintains numerous resource recovery and compactor sites around the County.

Compactor Newspaper Only LocationItems Accepted at Each Compactor Site Newspaper, glass (clear, green, brown) aluminum cans, aluminum foil, tin cans, corrugated cardboard, magazines, bound books, used motor oil and plastics.  Hall County Recycling Center - Map PDF 1008 Chestnut Street (across from Warren Featherbone Communiversity) plastic (PETE #1/HDPE #2), glass, newspaper, corrugated cardboard, aluminum, bound books, tin cans, magazines, and used motor oil. Portable rechargeable batteries of these types: Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion) and Small Sealed Lead* (Pb). Used cooking oil (grease). Candler Compactor - Map PDF South side of SR 332 3/10 mi. west of SR 60 near Candler, next to Hopewell Baptist Church. East Crescent Drive Compactor - Map PDF East Crescent Dr., just off Jesse Jewell, across from Fire Station Hdqrs. next to the Farmers Market. Flowery Branch Compactor - Map PDF Atlanta Hwy., approximately 1/4 mile south of intersection with Hog Mountain Road. Gaines Ferry Compactor - Map PDF Gaines Ferry Road, between Atlanta Highway and McEver Road behind County Fire Station #8. Gould Lane Compactor - Map PDF Hillside Gardens Lane, between McEver Road Extension and Spring Road. Lula Compactor - Map PDF Hwy. 52 approx. 1/2 mile north of intersection with Hwy. 365.
