On August 6, 2012 Hall County Sheriff's Investigators arrested 17 year-old Haley Brook Clark, of Gainesville, in connection with the death of her 9 day-old daughter, Olivia Clark.
On July 18, just after 1:00 PM, Hall County EMS units and Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 5200 block of Hopewell Lane regarding a report of an infant who had stopped breathing. The infant was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
As a result of the investigation, Sheriff's Investigators arrested Ms. Clark without incident and booked her into the Hall County Jail, where she is being held without bond on one count of murder.
This case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office, Criminal Investigations Division. Further details regarding the incident cannot be released at this time.
