Hall Area Transit (HAT) is a public transportation service designed to provide accessible, convenient and dependable transportation in the Gainesville / Hall County area. The availability of this transportation system increases the mobility of citizens for such essential purposes as employment, health care, education, shopping, community services, recreation, and conducting personal business. Hall Area Transit is funded jointly by the Gainesville / Hall County Governments, the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Federal Transit Administration.
Hall Area Transit offers two types of transportation:
- The Red Rabbit, the fixed route within the City of Gainesville, and
- Dial-A-Ride, the curb-to-curb service for the outlying areas of Hall County
Whether you're a first time passenger or a seasoned traveler, this information is provided to answer your questions and make riding a breeze. We hope to see you "on board" soon!
The ROUTE MAP gives you an overview of our scheduled City bus routes. For specific information on our fixed routes, call 770-503-3333. Schedules are also available through many local merchants along the routes.
